Chapter 1
Every product starts with a problem.
idolLiveAudio was not created from a business plan.
It was not developed inside a research laboratory.
It did not begin with a team of software engineers.
It started with a simple question:
Why is professional live audio still so difficult for everyday creators?
In early 2025, my wife livestreamed singing almost every day. Like many creators, she relied on professional audio software, virtual audio devices, plugin hosts and numerous configuration steps before every livestream.
These tools were powerful. But they were built for audio engineers and music producers—not for someone who simply wanted to sing live.
- Every livestream required preparation.
- Every computer change meant configuring everything again.
- Every plugin update risked breaking an existing setup.
The software worked exactly as designed. It just wasn't designed for this kind of user. That was the problem I wanted to solve.
Chapter 2
Building the tool we actually needed
The original goal of idolLiveAudio was surprisingly small.
It wasn't meant to become a commercial product. It wasn't meant to replace professional DAWs. It wasn't built to impress investors.
It was simply an internal tool created to make one person's daily livestream easier.
Open the software. Load a preset. Start singing. Everything else should stay out of the user's way.
That simple objective became the design philosophy that still guides idolLiveAudio today.
Every feature that exists today can be traced back to a real problem encountered during actual livestreams—not a marketing checklist.
Chapter 3
AI became the development partner
I do not come from a traditional software engineering background.
Instead of following the conventional path of software development, I approached the project from a different perspective:
- Understand the problem first.
- Build only what is necessary.
- Improve it every day.
Artificial Intelligence became my primary development partner throughout this journey.
AI helped transform ideas into source code, dramatically accelerating development. But writing code was only one part of building idolLiveAudio.
- Every feature required product decisions.
- Every workflow required user experience design.
- Every audio path required careful architectural planning.
- Every release required testing, refinement and continuous iteration.
Developing audio software is not simply about generating code. It is about understanding how people actually work—and designing software that stays out of their way.
Chapter 4
Thousands of hours before the first customer
Perhaps the most important part of idolLiveAudio's story is what happened after the first version worked.
For more than two years, the software has been used every single day during real livestream sessions, often exceeding eight hours of continuous operation.
It was never tested only inside a development environment. It was tested where failure actually mattered: During live broadcasts.
Every unexpected behavior became a bug report. Every inconvenient workflow became an improvement. Every performance bottleneck became an optimization opportunity. Every livestream helped shape the next version.
Long before idolLiveAudio became available to the public, it had already accumulated thousands of hours of real-world usage. No synthetic benchmark can replace that kind of validation.
For us, real users in real situations have always been the most demanding quality assurance team.
Chapter 5
AI didn't build the product alone
The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence has created the impression that software can now be generated automatically.
Our experience has been very different.
AI accelerated development dramatically. But AI did not decide what to build. It did not understand the workflow of livestream creators. It did not identify which features created unnecessary complexity. It did not determine how audio routing should behave under real-world conditions. It did not spend thousands of hours validating every design decision through continuous use.
Those responsibilities remained human responsibilities. AI became a powerful engineering tool. It never replaced product thinking, practical experience or continuous refinement.
Technology can accelerate creation. It cannot replace understanding.
Chapter 6
From one livestream to many
What began as a private solution gradually evolved into a professional Windows audio platform.
Today, idolLiveAudio supports low-latency audio processing, VST3 plugins, preset management, integrated workflows and numerous features inspired directly by real-world usage.
Although the software has grown significantly, its original purpose has never changed:
- Reduce complexity.
- Increase reliability.
- Allow creators to focus on their performance instead of their software.
That philosophy continues to influence every decision we make.
Chapter 7
The philosophy behind iLA Soft
idolLiveAudio became more than a software project. It became the foundation of how we believe software products should be built.
At iLA Soft, as an independent software publisher (ISV), we believe technology should solve practical problems before it demonstrates technical complexity.
- Every software product should begin with a genuine need.
- Every feature should earn its place.
- Every improvement should remove friction instead of adding new complexity.
We believe software becomes valuable not because it contains more features, but because it helps people accomplish their work more naturally.
Artificial Intelligence is an important part of our development process, but it is not our identity. Our identity is an independent software publisher solving real problems with practical, high-performance products.
idolLiveAudio is simply the first product created under that philosophy. It represents what we believe software development can become when product thinking, continuous iteration and AI work together.
Chapter 8
This is only the beginning.
idolLiveAudio is the first chapter of iLA Soft's journey.
The lessons learned while building it now shape every new idea, every new feature and every future product we create.
Whether we build audio software, AI-powered creative tools or entirely new platforms, one principle remains unchanged:
Start with a real problem.
Build with purpose.
Validate through real-world use.
Improve continuously.
Technology will continue to evolve. Artificial Intelligence will continue to become more capable.
But our mission will remain the same:
Create software that people genuinely enjoy using because it makes their work simpler, more reliable and more enjoyable.
The same philosophy is now driving every product we build at iLA Soft.
